Glangwynedd self-catering
cottage is situated in the
Dyfi Valley in Mid-Wales on the border of the Snowdonia National Park, with
Cader Idris only 5 miles away. To the south rises up the wild uplands of
Plynlimon and the Cambrian mountains.
The historic market town of Machynlleth, with it's interesting mix of shops,
pubs, restaurants and cafés,
is just a mile away and an easy walk or cycle ride along an off road cycle
path.
The beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay with sandy beaches is 9 miles away miles away.
Further south is the seaside town of Aberystwyth, with more shops and an arts centre.

The cottage
is at the right hand end of the terrace and has 2 bedrooms, one with a
double bed and the other with 3 single beds. There is a well equipped
kitchen and the newly renovated bathroom is upstairs. The sitting room has
is a wood burning stove for cosy evenings with TV, DVD and video. The back garden is a suntrap in the
afternoons when the garden furniture can be made use of.
Walkers and cyclists are catered for with the drying room and bike storage
shed.

The surrounding countryside is a joy for those interested in wild-life.
There are a variety of birds and animals which can be seen from the cot tage,
with kites soaring over and otters using the river. RSPB Ynys-Hir and the Dyfi
Osprey Project are near by.
There are a variety of walks locally and the area is very popular for
mountain-biking with lots of new trails opened up in the Dyfi-forest.
The Wales Coastal Path is connected
around the whole coast and passes within 1 mile of the cottage |
